Noiszy has three goals:

  1. Obfuscate your (the user's) web trafic data, so that algorithms' abilities to target you are decreased or eliminated.  The most direct application of that is bursting your filter bubble(s) on specific sites and across the web.
  2. Obfuscate the general pool of web traffic data, so that algorithms' targeting capabilities are decreased in general (for everyone).  This can only really work when a large percentage of online traffic is meaningless and also real-looking.  It will take time to achieve this.
  3. Advance and promote the conversation about data collection and usage, specifically about how to responsibly and morally use data and develop algorithms.  From the Noiszy point of view, our data is already out "in the wild", and now we have to figure out what to do about that.
